COVID-19 AND EDIBLE BLOOMS NZ
To our Customers & Community
As we’re a small business, we’re fortunate that staff can work remotely from their homes and orders can be dispatched from the owner’s home while in isolation.
While it may seem that gifts aren't a necessity, for many people, and based on customer feedback in recent days, they’re an uplifting way to connect with others, when we can’t always be there in person and they support people's mental well being during this time.
It is our hope that we can help to provide moments of comfort by continuing our service for as long as it remains permitted by the Government and safe to do so.
With the safety of our staff and customers as our absolute number one priority, we have made some essential changes over the lock down period.
This will ensure that we can operate in a contact-free environment whilst still getting orders out safely.
Of course, keeping everyone safe, healthy and connected during this uncertain time is a huge priority. So we wanted to tell you what we are focusing on right now:
Making Our Deliveries Safer
Our deliveries will all be contact less. Our deliveries are managed through NZ Couriers and a few independent courier companies, who are all also following the latest government guidance to keep everyone safe and well.
We’re taking the following strict precautions to ensure everyone’s safety:
- Our Team – Staff will be working in isolation, so eliminating any risk to them and their families.
- Our Customers – As well as maintaining a high standard of sanitation during fulfillment and dispatch, we have also removed our in-store pick-up service until further notice.
- Our Couriers – We have a contact-free pick-up point for the courier and will not be offering a signature service during the lock down. This will help maintain the safety of both our couriers and our customers.
Our Team
As a very small business that operates out of our home and with the support of a remote team of freelancers, working from home, this has been our normality and will continue to be so, during this lock down period.
This means that our team can work safely and in line with the latest government advice, and allowing work to continue from home.
Unavailability of Certain Products and Range of Gifts
The quality of the gifts that we send is very important to us to ensure that we maintain the high standards of service and gifts that Edible Blooms NZ is known for. Because we are not able to ensure this via the couriers that are operating at this time, until we resume normal operations, certain product ranges will not be available to order at this time. These include Lamington Cakes, Cake Pops and Donut Bouquets. We will update and advise any changes.
Please Be Patient
Obviously, these changes to the way we operate may affect some of our delivery processes, so we appreciate your patience.
Order Dispatch
Delivery time frames may be affected, though we will make every effort to get all orders dispatched within 48 hours (weekdays).
Customer Communications & Returns
We will have staff working on Customer Service remotely and we will endeavour to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours on weekdays. As our office is based in our home, we will still be able to answer phone calls, 0508 EDIBLE (334253) International: +64 9 414 6644 but the best way to get in touch is via email on auckland@edibleblooms.co.nz. There may also be delays processing any returns as we are a small tea.
Delivering Virtual Smiles
In our digital world it’s hard to escape the news. Sometimes that can feel quite overwhelming and we need a distraction from being stuck at home. So as we always have done, and will continue to do, we'll be sharing uplifting content and experiences on social channels that we hope will make you smile.
From the Team
At its heart, Edible Blooms has always been in the business of delivering smiles. We understand that in the next few weeks and months will be a tough time for many reasons, and especially tough for those who are unable to be with their loved ones. As such we’ve done our best to remain operational to make it easier for our customers to let their friends and family know they’re thinking of them while they can’t be there.
